From July 6th through July 9th, five Camden Academy seniors attended the Rowan Think Like an Entrepreneur Summer Academy. The students joined peers from across New Jersey to learn the ins and outs of the business world.
Many of the activities were interactive, allowing students to learn how each other thinks, how they solve problems, and how they work together. Each group participated in activities designed to encourage collaboration, communication, and creative thinking.
Students also heard from a variety of guest speakers, including representatives from Spirit Halloween, Rowan professors, and the founders of Bobica Bars, who are Rowan alumni. The guest speakers shared their experiences, provided insight into entrepreneurship, and participated in Q&A sessions where students had the opportunity to ask questions about their journeys in the business world.
The final day of the academy was presentation day. Throughout the academy, each group developed a business idea and created a prototype to present in a Shark Tank-like format. Each group had to impress the judges and pitch their product, showcasing the creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills they developed throughout the week.
The Rowan Think Like an Entrepreneur Summer Academy provided Camden Academy seniors with a valuable opportunity to develop their creativity, teamwork, and entrepreneurial skills. We hope more Camden Academy seniors will have the opportunity to participate in this experience in the future.
