On Wednesday, June 3rd, Camden Academy held its Academic Awards Ceremony to recognize 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students for their hard work, achievements, and growth throughout the school year.
Staff, students, and families gathered to celebrate the accomplishments of the award recipients during this momentous event. Awards ranged from Principal's List and Most Improved to School Spirit and other honors. These awards not only highlighted students' progress but also showcased how they evolved throughout the school year.
Ms. Ash, Co-Principal of Camden Academy, said she was proud of her students and their accomplishments. When asked about the ceremony and what it meant to recognize students for their hard work, she shared:
“This is one of our hallmark programs where we get an opportunity to celebrate all of our students,” she explained. “We are very excited about all of their achievements, not only their academics, but also how we are developing awesome students overall through their character, leadership skills, and service to others.”
She also added that she is proud of the staff for the amazing job they do in preparing students for the world beyond Camden Academy.
Analiz Jimenez, a sophomore at Camden Academy, won several awards, including Principal's List. She was excited about receiving the recognition.
“It feels very good, and I am proud of myself,” Jimenez explained. “I work hard and study a lot.” She also added that she plans to keep the same work ethic going into next school year.
Another sophomore who was excited about the ceremony was Naviel Rodriguez. He shared his thoughts on receiving recognition alongside his peers.
“I feel great. I really think that I earned them, and it feels amazing to hear my name called,” Rodriguez said. He also went on to add that next year he wants to earn all the awards, be a leader, and have the highest grades in the entire class.
Overall, the students demonstrated that they are capable of being all they can be through their hard work, dedication, and commitment to success.
